About the Author

Amanda Lorenzo, author of the Runt Farm series, was born on theWest Coast of the United States and has managed to live close to salt water ever since. She shares her home in Seattle, Washington with her cool cat, Chiti. Amanda loves to sing and has taught music to children ages 5 to 13. She has been known to be bossy like Beatrice and can wire a lamp almost as well as Cletus would. Ms. Lorenzo has a penchant for wicked-lovely hats, has been known to pull songs out of thin air, and loves a good belly laugh.

About the Illustrator

Award-winning illustrator Mark Evan Walker lives in the wilds of suburban Texas and draws Runt Farm amidst mighty oaks, magnolias, and brilliantly colored crepe myrtle and althaeas. Mark would like to thank all the Runt Farmers for being so kind as to pose on those occasions when needed to help tell their stories.
